The statutory penalties for DUI are tough. \u00a0Which is why you need an attorney to defend you and mitigate your penalties as much as possible. \u00a0The following are the punishments for DUI in Nevada:<\/p>\n

FIRST OFFENSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. At least 2 days in jail and up to 6 months; or 48 to 96 \u00a0hours of community service in the florescent clothes;<\/li>\n
  2. A fine of at least $400 and up to over $1,000 after fees;<\/li>\n
  3. Pay for and take a substance abuse educational program, and successfully complete it within a deadline;<\/li>\n
  4. Attend a \u201cvictim impact panel\u201d; and<\/li>\n
  5. Revocation of your driver\u2019s license for at least 90 days.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    SECOND OFFENSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. At least 10 days in jail and up to 6 months;<\/li>\n
    2. A fine of at least $750 and up to over $1,000 after fees, or the equivalent number of hours of community service;<\/li>\n
    3. Pay for and take a substance abuse therapy program, and successfully complete it within a deadline;<\/li>\n
    4. Revocation of your driver\u2019s license for at least ONE YEAR.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      THIRD OFFENSE<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Category B Felony;<\/li>\n
      2. At least 1 year in jail and up to 6 years;<\/li>\n
      3. A fine of at least $2,000 and up to over $5,000;<\/li>\n
      4. Attend a \u201cvictim impact panel\u201d; and<\/li>\n
      5. Revocation of your driver\u2019s license for at least THREE YEARS.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        EVEN MORE PENALTIES, ON TOP OF THE ONES ABOVE
